My Third Co-op

After leaving my second co-op,
I chose to deepen my experience in the field and started an internship with Perimetrics AI!

Perimetrics allowed me to work remotely with a small nationwide team of engineers tasked with all the software and hardware duties for the company.

Throughout my semester, I was able to work on data analysis, data visualizations, software scaling, and the rare opportunity to do full stack work as an undergrad. This opportunity also let me improve the speed at which I can learn something new, and then apply the knowledge in a critical way. I was able to deliver high level data visualizations for upper management, customers, and for software team use while improving the core infrastructure of our suite through system updates and optimizations. Here I was also able to fully understand REST api and get comfortable working in a web based environment.

Near the end of this experience, I became the one helping out the incoming team members and showing them the systems I had been working with. This experience really pushed me to become adaptable, quick thinking, and a better communicator. I plan on forever building upon the skills I developed with Perimetrics and am truly greatful for the team I was able to work with.

This experience also coincided with summer classes in Japanese and introduction level graduate classes as I worked towards my Japanese language proficiency and progress towards my Master's degree of Computer Science! Juggling class along with a full time internship created a great environment to test myself and improve how I was able to work towards multiple goals at the same time.
